Lisa A. LaGorio, MS/CCC-SLP
Student Representative

I am a Speech Language Pathologist and graduate student pursueing a non-traditional, joint PhD in Rehabilitation Science and MPH-Epidemiology degree. As such, I embody the idea of collaboration in my studies and in my work. My research interests include studying the epidemiology of swallowing and voice disorders in the geriatric population, age-related change in swallowing physiology, and the use of new technologies and treatment paradigms in the rehabilitation of swallowing and voice disorders. As a Research Assistant in the UF Swallowing Research Laboratory, I collaborate with physicians, public health practitioners, and other healthcare specialists on a variety of research projects in these areas.
