Research: I collaborate with Dr. Dave Janicke on Clinical and Health Psychology to jointly train and supervise doctoral students in Clinical and Health Psychology and MPH students to conduct the FLIP for Kids program in Levy County.
I collaborate with Dr. Jamie Pomeranz of Behavioral Science and Community Health, Dr. Roxanna Bendixen of Occupational Therapy, and Dr. Joan Castleman from the College of Nursing to provide tobacco cessation programs to consumers of the local Center for Independant Living. This began as AHEC funding and is currently under NIH review for an R21 to continue this work.
Education: I use rehabilitation counseling faculty to provide guest lectures in my classes to expose MPH students to disability sensitivity, populations, and needs. I also provide PhD in Clinical and Health Psychology students an opportunity to guest lecture in my courses. I serve on two Clinical and Health Psychology doctoral committees as the outside member.
